This gorgeous dress from Karen Millen ticks the key trends for SS11 - it's white (ok, ivory), neon and oh so feminine. Best of all, it's on sale for £140.
If I wasn't so bloody short, I'd get it myself! For those of you not damned with such an affliction, click and shop away...

London Fashion Week - Paul Costelloe S/S 11
Futuristic Femme was the name of the game at Paul Costelloe.
Kicking off London Fashion Week, the show featured biker jackets worn over maxis and dresses with a flirty 50s vibe - all in gorgeous candy colours. Structure and silver highlights lent a touch of futurism to the gorgeously girlie collection.
Menswear was preppy and tailored - geek chic at its best. Paul Costelloe's sons modelled his tailored looks as a finale - evidently Paul keeps it in the family! Check it out...

Sale Shopping Guide: Buys that take you to AW10
The SS10 season is drawing to a close, which can only mean two things – summer sales (woo hoo!) and brand spanking new season goodies (double woo hoo!).
Sales for Selfridges, Net-A-Porter, My-Wardrobe, Harvey Nichols, Matches, Jaeger, Banana Republic, Whistles, Dune and Warehouse (phew!) have now begun, with the rest of the high street following suit before July, so keep your eyes peeled!
If, however, you find lately your funds flow OUT far more than they do in, a bit of strategic sale shopping is in order. The siren call of the 50% off sign is difficult to resist, but look out for the following in the sales to ensure you’re guilt-free and ahead of the game come AW10...
1. Lace
Opt for black and charcoal, or deep colours that will translate as autumnal come September. Burberry Prorsum’s absolutely infallible AW10 collection heavily featured dresses and blouses in the fabric, worn over thigh-high boots (yes, you will be digging them back out!), along with THAT shearling flying jacket.
Burberry Prorsum AW10
2. Leather
Leather clothing, summer’s surprise hit, is not going away anytime soon. Look out for shorts, dresses, t-shirts and vests in black or tan, as featured on the catwalks of Celine, Christopher Kane, Chloé and Bottega Veneta. Zara did some fabulous leather pieces, fingers crossed they go into the sale which begins on 24th June!
Christopher Kane AW10
3. Trousers
Hareem, peg leg, skinny or tailored, anything goes for this season’s trouser – just ensure you own a pair! Avoid printed/patterned options and chose block colours in navy, sand or classic black.
Chloe AW10
4. Tailoring
This season, seek out tailoring with a twist à la Alexander Wang – cropped, fitted jackets and ultra-feminine cuts are ideal. Remember, shoulders are over (dahling!) so opt for a structured silhouette, not a Balmain-esque overstatement. Chloé offered a fresh take on the season, with tailoring in tan and beige referencing the easy chic style of the 70s – perfect for perking up an otherwise dark Autumn/Winter palette.
Alexander Wang AW10
5. Maxi skirts and dresses
Avoid full blooms, but look for block colour and ditsy prints in tube skirts and maxi dresses, as seen at Erdem. Come AW10, you’ll be wearing yours layered with knitwear.
Erdem AW10
6. Structured bags
Whichever style you choose this season, be it ladylike or office-ready, make sure your arm candy is all grown up – avoid slouchy bags and look out for structure.
Louis Vuitton AW10
7. Small heels
One of SS10’s biggest shoe stories was, ironically, the smaller heel. AW10 sees more of the daintier kitten and mid-heeled shoe, so now is the time to invest – your feet will thank you for it! In the sales, chose ladylike, elegant styles as seen at Marc Jacobs to take you through to the new season – femininity is AW10’s calling card.
Marc Jacobs AW10
8. Statement necklaces
You may have gathered from the list so far, AW10 is not going to be a season of excess and OTT glamour. Sometimes, however, an outfit needs that extra something and what fills the need better than a gorgeous statement necklace, à la Lanvin? Opt for darker stones or burnished metallics to be on trend for autumn.

Not Brit, not Asian...just funny!
Spotted a little Justin Bieber wannabe walking past me on the tube wearing a t-shirt with an arrow pointing up and another pointing down. I look closer, the arrow up sports the word 'Beauty', the arrow down...you've guessed it, 'Beast'. Absolutely f***ing hilarious.

Can I have your bag?
On the tube today, marvelling at the fabulousness of the two Japanese girls seated in front of me. A huge Thomas Sabo watch here, a Rodarte loose knit jumper there, jersey maxi tube skirts and Alexander Wang well, everything else, both pulled off grungy glam with the casual insouciance it requires.
I clutched my oversized Topshop holdall with Wang-esque zip detailing as I stared at the Real Thing sitting in front of me (not knocking my fab Topshop find - a godsend for us mere mortals not wishing to part with £800 for a fad).
I want to take a picture because they were just so cool!! Luckily remembered I am not Face Hunter and managed to rein it in before I looked too much like a stalker. Mental note: next time - lie.

Fashion is a race. Run the 100m sprint.
The notion of owning dependable, fail-safe wardrobe classics has never really appealed. You know the fashion articles that pop up from time to time - 'every woman must own a beige trench coat, a little black dress, a Breton stripe top, black trousers, a white shirt and dark jeans'. I'm pretty sure there's also something red in there too, but can't for the life of me think what it is...
To me, 'classic' has always equated to 'boring' - something fashion should never, ever be. During the last Olympics, Grazia themed fashion stories/articles around the games. In one such article, I read these immortal words - 'Fashion is a race. Run the 100 metre sprint'. This little statement completely embodies what fashion is all about, and is exactly how I see it (said statement is now up on my wall, lest I forget!).
Yet lately, I find myself drawn to some of the pieces in this list of - gasp! - classics. Maybe it's because I'm not 18 anymore (and no, I'm not saying 26 is old!), but I am now firmly ensconced in womanhood - many friends and peers are now paired up or getting married, I am reaching my professional goals, and I know what I want out of life. While I love the frivolity of fashion (clogs, anyone?), I actually picked up a classic stripe top and wore it with black, not-too-crazy hareem trousers and (platform heeled) Chelsea boots. The look was effortless, chic and modern. Hmmm. Maybe classic isn't all that bad after all...

Wang Almighty
I was all set to whinge about how I'm bored of everything in the shops. I'm coveting absolutely nothing.
It's usually around this time in the season where the trends are no longer new and have been done to death - pastels, underwear as outerwear, florals, stripes, printed trousers, unstructured tailoring. Bored now. (Sports Luxe was the trend of choice for me this S/S '10, inspired by a creations of a certain Mr Wang. No-one has mastered the art of casual glam quite like him).
Bring on A/W '10, I say! First thing on the list - a black shearling flight jacket, as seen on the Burberry Prorsum catwalk (obviously a vintage/Topshop lookalike, real thing is laughably out of budget!).
But alas, we are only now embarking on the 'Summer' bit of Spring/Summer. Just. And yes, buying a super-warm sheepskin jacket just before the warmest months of the year is a bit, well, daft. So I'm back to coveting nothing. Until I saw this...

Wang. You are legend!
